Dr. Raymond Greenfeld D.M.D., F.R.C.D.(c) (Retired)
Dr. Raymond Greenfeld received his DMD from the University of Manitoba in 1968 and practiced general dentistry in Winnipeg for 9 years. He attended the University or Oregon where he specialized in endodontics and has practiced in Richmond, BC since 1980 as a Certified Specialist in Endodontics. Dr. Greenfeld has taught endodontics at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center and the University of British Columbia. He has had numerous papers published and provided lectures both nationally and internationally.

- Chairman of the CAE Procedure Guide committee which was instrumental in producing endodontic procedure codes used by the Canadian Dental Association
- Chairman of the CAE Standards of Practice committee which produced a Standards of Practice document for endodontics. One component of this document addresses degrees of difficulty in endodontics. This effort allowed for uniformity and universality in teaching the variation in endodontic treatment. This document in its entirety is used to guide assessment of endodontic treatment which has less than a satisfactory outcome.
- Chairman of the CAE Standards of Practice committee which served the purpose of updating the Standards of Practice document in 2012.

Dr. Jeff Coil D.M.D., M.S.D., Ph.D., F.R.C.D.(c)
Dr. Coil, received his undergraduate, dental and doctorate degrees from the University of British Columbia. He practiced general dentistry for 8 years and was a Clinical Instructor in endodontics and periodontics, before obtaining his certificate in Endodontics at the University of Washington in 1993. Dr. Coil has served and continues to serve the dental profession as follows:

Dr. David Hemerling D.M.D., F.R.C.D.(c)
Dr. Hemerling attended dental school at the University of British Columbia graduating in 1993. After practising as a general dentist for four years, he returned to graduate school receiving his specialty Certificate in Endodontics, in 1999, from Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Hemerling has been practicing as a certified specialist in endodontics since 1999. Dr. Hemerling, a native of Vancouver, is fond of reading and is an avid fan of music. He enjoys traveling and meeting people from different cultures.

Dr. Ahmed Hieawy B.D.S., D.M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc. (Cons), M.Sc./Dip. Endo, M.R.A.C.D.S.(endo), F.R.C.D.(C)
Dr. Hieawy is a certified specialist in endodontics and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in this field. He received his BDS degree in 1994, followed by his M.Sc. in 1997 and PhD in 2002 in Endodontics and Restorative dentistry. Prior to moving to British Columbia, he practiced as a Consultant Endodontist for over 15 years, in clinical at hospital dentistry settings.
In 2011, Dr. Hieawy joined UBC Dentistry, where he graduated with a DMD degree. This was followed by a Masters in Craniofacial Sciences and Diploma in Endodontics.
Currently, Dr. Hieawy is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endodontics at UBC Dentistry. He is also a consultant Endodontist at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children's Hospital. He provides endodontic services for medically compromised patients, as well as emergency management of dental trauma.
Outside the academic and clinical endeavours, he is actively involved in professional organizations and associations related to endodontics. He is a Madridista, and in his busy schedule, he will always find the time to watch all Real Madrid matches.

Dr. Wei Qian D.M.D., Ph.D., M.SC./DIP. ENDO, f.r.c.d.(C)
Dr. Qian received his dental education in West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu, China. In 2011, he graduated from the endodontic graduate program in UBC. Dr. Qian is fluent in Mandarin. In his leisure time, he enjoys travel, photographing and DIY. Dr. Qian is involved in various professional organizations and his accomplishments are as follow:
- Certified Specialist in Endodontics
- Board eligible for the American Board of Endodontics.
- Published over 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Co-authored a chapter in the textbook of Ingle’s Endodontics, 6th and 7th edition.
- His research work with Professor Haapasalo led to invention of a new root canal disinfection product now available for all dentists in North America.

Dr. Kiarash Shabehpour D.D.S, D.M.D., M.SC., F.R.C.D.(C)
Dr. Kiarash Shabehpour (or Dr. Kia as his patients sometimes tend to call him) started his dentistry journey in 1998. After earring his DDS degree in dentistry, getting some extra training in oral surgery and practicing for a few years, he moved to Canada with his wife. In Canada, he attended dental school again at the University of British Columbia for his 2nd degree in dentistry, this time a DMD, practiced for a few more years in both Vancouver and Prince George and then went through 3 extra years of specialist training in Endodontics at UBC.
Dr. Shabehpour is currently practicing in beautiful provinces of British Columbia and Alberta and mainly helps his patients and colleagues with root canal related treatments and surgeries on a referral basis. He is fluent in English and Farsi.
Dr. Shabehpour is an active member of College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, Alberta Dental Association and College, Canadian Academy of Endodontics and American Association of Endodontists.
In his spare time, Dr. Shabehpour spends time with his family, indulges in the martial art of Judo or can be found on the slopes, skiing. Dr. Shabehpour is a proud supporter of animal rescue groups worldwide.

Shelley Dental Assistant
Shelley was born in London, Ontario and grew up in Montreal. She has been a dental assistant in our office since 1996. Shelley is the consummate professional in all aspects and is charged with organizing the office. She enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a pleasant experience for our patients. Shelley is married, has two children and three grandchildren. Her passions are golf, reading and fitness and camping.
Lorma DENTAL ASSISTANT
Lorma received her dental degree in the Philippines and has been in our employ since 2011. She assists the endodontists and is responsible for disinfecting and sterilizing instruments used intraorally. This lady has the most important task of ensuring infection control is appropriate in our office.
